Paint correction or paint enhancement is the removal of imperfections in your clear coat, People typically refer to this process as a buff and wax. There are many different types of imperfections such as water spots, surface level scratches, dullness of clear coat, etchings from bird droppings, chemical burns and many others. In this process there are many avenues to take, depending on how severe of a paint imperfection it is. To simplify the explanation of the process, we will take a specific compound or polish and pair it with with a polishing pad that is attached to either a rotary polisher or a DA polisher. We then use these tools and products to safely remove the necessary amount of clear coat to get rid of the imperfection but not too much where we damage the integrity of the clear coat. The end goal is to add a glass like finish to your clear coat and make you love the car you drive in again.
